Stephanie Ishoo
Stephanie Ishoo drives Target ALS’s marketing and communications strategy to amplify the organization’s mission, promote participation in its research initiatives, and garner support. She brings over a decade of experience in nonprofit marketing, communications, and development, with her career focused on advancing research for rare diseases. Prior to joining Target ALS, she served as Associate Director of Marketing & Communications at the Jeffrey Modell Foundation, where she supported awareness, care, and research efforts for Primary Immunodeficiencies, an umbrella of more than 400 disorders affecting the immune system. Earlier, at EB Research Partnership, she progressed through roles in both development and communications, helping raise awareness and funds for Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare genetic skin disorder affecting children from birth.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The George Washington University, a background that informs her ability to communicate scientific and medical research with both accuracy and accessibility. She is passionate about connecting research, storytelling, and community to drive meaningful progress for those living with rare and underserved diseases and their families. Stephanie is based in New York, where she lives with her husband, Jonathan, and beloved dog, Sadie.
