Michael R. DeChellis-Marks, Ph.D.

Michael R. DeChellis-Marks, Ph.D., joined Target ALS in 2025 as Manager of Scientific Programs, where he monitors the Target ALS scientific portfolio, curates and coordinates funding calls, and assists with scientific writing. He received his doctoral degree in 2024, studying the role of axonal TDP-43 localization and presynaptic proteostasis in iPSC-derived motor neurons from patients with neurodegenerative diseases, including ALS. Joining Target ALS was an opportunity for him to continue contributing to a resilient community with an urgent need for scientific advancement to yield real-world solutions.
