Your gift celebrates their legacy and supports Target ALS’s work to fund, enable, and conduct groundbreaking research that brings us closer to a future where everyone with ALS lives. Together, memorial gifts help:

Give in Memory of a Loved One
When you make a memorial gift, you may include the name of the person you are remembering and choose whether you would like us to notify a family member or loved one.
The amount of your gift will remain private. We will simply let the family know that you chose to honor their loved one through a gift to Target ALS.
What Happens After You Give
We understand that giving in memory of someone is deeply personal. Every gift is acknowledged with care, and we will ensure that the family is treated with compassion throughout the process.
After a memorial gift is made:
- You will receive an acknowledgment of your gift.
- Upon your request, the family or loved ones will be notified of your thoughtful tribute.
- The family may receive a list of those who made gifts in memory of their loved one, without gift amounts.
- We will share how memorial gifts help advance ALS research and scientific progress.
Our goal is to ensure that every family feels seen and every donor understands the meaning of their support.
For Families
When gifts are made in memory of your loved one, we will work with you or a designated family contact to ensure the process is handled thoughtfully.
We can:
- Confirm the name of the person being remembered
- Notify you when memorial gifts are received
- Provide a list of donors, without gift amounts
- Share condolence messages submitted with gifts, when requested
- Provide updates about the impact of memorial support
- Help with obituary or memorial-service language

Families may invite friends and loved ones to support ALS research in memory of someone who has passed away.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to be made to Target ALS to help accelerate urgently needed research toward effective treatments for ALS.
